Amazon Selling Partner (Tech Preview) operation

The Amazon Selling Partner (Tech Preview) operation defines how to interact with the SP-API.

The Amazon Selling Partner (Tech Preview) connector supports these actions:

  • Execute
  • Get
  • Query

When you import an operation, you will see all the available APIs operations. After selecting an API, the object types dropdown will display the available operations.

Retry requests

The connector retries requests based on the response status code from the server:

503 — Indicates the temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. Retry requests are made in a phased approach (intervals of 1, 5, 10, and 20 seconds) with a maximum of 4 retries.

429 — Indicates that too many requests have been sent in a given amount of time. Retry requests are made in a phased approach (intervals of 1, 5, 10, 20, 30, and 60 seconds) for a total of 126 seconds total with a maximum of 6 retries.

Execute

The Execute operation includes any APIs and actions that allow you to edit data. The input and output document format is JSON. The following APIs are available under the Amazon Selling Partner API dropdown box.

  • createFeedDocument (Feeds 2021-06-30) - Creates a feed document for the feed type that you specify. This operation returns a presigned URL for uploading the feed document contents.

  • cancelFeed (Feeds 2021-06-30) - Cancels the feed that you specify. Only feeds with processingStatus=IN_QUEUE can be cancelled.

    • Path feedId - The identifier for the feed. This identifier is unique only in combination with a seller ID.
  • createFeed (Feeds 2021-06-30) - Creates a feed. Upload the contents of the feed document before calling this operation.

  • generatePackingOptions (Fulfillment Inbound) - Generates available packing options for the inbound plan.

    • Path inboundPlanId - The identifier of an inbound plan.
  • updateShipmentSourceAddress (Fulfillment Inbound) - Updates the source address of an existing shipment.

    • Path inboundPlanId - The identifier of an inbound plan.
    • Path shipmentId - The identifier of a shipment. A shipment contains the inbound boxes and units.
  • createInboundPlan (Fulfillment Inbound) - Creates an inbound plan. An inbound plan contains all the necessary information to send shipments into Amazon's fulfillment network.

  • generateSelfShipAppointmentSlots (Fulfillment Inbound) - Initiates the process of generating the appointment slots list.

    • Path shipmentId - The identifier of a shipment. A shipment contains the inbound boxes and units.
  • generateShipmentContentUpdatePreviews (Fulfillment Inbound) - Initiates the process of generating the appointment slots list.

  • confirmPlacementOption (Fulfillment Inbound) - Confirms the placement option for an inbound plan.

    • Path inboundPlanId - The identifier of an inbound plan.
    • Path placementOptionsId - The identifier of a placement option. A placement option represents the shipment splits and destinations of SKUs.
  • confirmShipmentContentUpdatePreview (Fulfillment Inbound) - Confirm a shipment content update preview and accept the changes in transportation cost.

    • Path inboundPlanId - The identifier of an inbound plan.
  • cancelFulfillmentOrder (Fulfillment Outbound 2020-07-01) - Requests that Amazon stop attempting to fulfill the fulfillment order indicated by the specified order identifier.

    • Path sellerFulfillmentOrderId - The identifier assigned to the item by the seller when the fulfillment order was created.
  • updateFulfillmentOrder (Fulfillment Outbound 2020-07-01) - Updates and/or requests shipment for a fulfillment order with an order hold on it.

    • Path sellerFulfillmentOrderId - The identifier assigned to the item by the seller when the fulfillment order was created.
  • createFulfillmentReturn (Fulfillment Outbound 2020-07-01) - Requests that Amazon ship items from the seller's inventory in Amazon's fulfillment network to a destination address.

    • Path sellerId - A selling partner identifier, such as a merchant account or vendor code.
    • Path sku - A selling partner provided identifier for an Amazon listing.
    • Query marketplaceIds - A comma-delimited list of Amazon marketplace identifiers for the request.
    • Query includedData - A comma-delimited list of data sets to include in the response. The default value is issues.
    • Query mode - The mode of operation for the request.
    • Query issuelocale - A locale for localization of issues. When not provided, the default language code of the first marketplace is used.
  • deleteListingsitem (Listings Items 2021-08-01) - Partially update (patch) a listings item for a selling partner. Only top-level listings item attributes can be patched.

    • Path sellerId - A selling partner identifier, such as a merchant account or vendor code.
    • Path sku - A selling partner provided identifier for an Amazon listing.
    • Query marketplaceIds - A comma-delimited list of Amazon marketplace identifiers for the request.

  • cancelShipment (Merchant Fulfillment) - Cancel the shipment indicated by the specified shipment identifier.

    • Restricted Data Access - This operation displays a conditional dropdown box because it returns Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
      • None: Avoids retrieving PII. This is the default value.
      • Specific PII: The RDT works for an specific entity.
      • Generic PII: The RDT works for any entity.
    • Restricted Data Elements - A conditional text field to provide a comma separated list of restricted data types granted to the RDT.
  • createShipment (Merchant Fulfillment) - Create a shipment with the information provided.

    • Restricted Data Access - This operation displays a conditional dropdown box because it returns Personally Identifiable Information (PII).
      • None: Avoids retrieving PII. This is the default value.
      • Specific PII: The RDT works for an specific entity.
      • Generic PII: The RDT works for any entity.

  • confirmShipment (Orders) - Updates the shipment confirmation status for a specified order.

    • Path orderId - An Amazon-defined order identifier in 3-7-7 format.
  • updateVerificationStatus (Orders) - Updates (approves or rejects) the verification status of an order containing regulated products.

    • Path orderId - An Amazon-defined order identifier in 3-7-7 format.
  • updateShipmentstatus (Orders) - Update the shipment status for an order that you specify.

  • cancelReport (Reports 2021-06-30) - Cancels the report that you specify.

    • Path reportId - The identifier for the report. This identifier is unique only in combination with a seller ID.
  • createReport (Reports 2021-06-30) - Creates a report.

  • createReportSchedule (Reports 2021-06-30) - Creates a report schedule.

  • cancelReportSchedule (Reports 2021-06-30) - Cancels the report schedule that you specify.

    • Path reportScheduleId - The identifier for the report schedule. This identifier is unique only in combination with a seller ID.
  • submitInvoice (Shipment Invoicing) - Submit new invoices to Amazon.

    • Path shipmentId - The identifier for the shipment.
  • oneClickShipment (Shipping) - Submits new one click purchases to Amazon.

    • Header x-amzn-shipping-business-id - Amazon shipping business to assume for this request. The default value is AmazonShipping_UK.
  • directPurchaseShipment (Shipping) - Purchases the shipping service for a shipment using the best fit service offering. Returns purchase related details and documents.

    • Header x-amzn-IdempotencyKey - A unique value which the server uses to recognize subsequent retries of the same request.
    • Header locale - The IETF Language Tag.
    • Header x-amzn-shipping-business-id - Amazon shipping business to assume for this request. The default value is AmazonShipping_UK.
  • unlinkCarrierAccount (Shipping) - Unlink an associated carrier account.

    • Path carrierId - The carrier Id to unlink with merchant.
    • Header x-amzn-shipping-business-id - Amazon shipping business to assume for this request. The default value is AmazonShipping_UK.
  • purchaseShipment (Shipping) - Purchases a shipping service and returns purchase related details and documents.

Get

The Get operation includes read-only actions, designed to retrieve a single document. The output document format is JSON for all object types, except downloadReport in the Reports 2021-06-30 API. The following APIs are available under the Amazon Selling Partner API dropdown box.

    • Path asin - The Amazon Standard Identification Number (ASIN) of the item.

    • Query marketplaceIds - A comma-delimited list of Amazon marketplace identifiers. Data sets in the response contain data only for the specified marketplaces.

    • Query includedData - A comma-delimited list of data sets to include in the response. The default value is summaries.

    • Query locale - Locale for retrieving localized summaries. Defaults to the primary locale of the marketplace.

  • getItemEligibilityPreview (FBA Inbound Eligibility) - Gets an eligibility preview for an item that you specify.

    • Query marketplaceIds - The identifier for the marketplace in which you want to determine eligibility. Required only when you chose INBOUND in Query program.

    • Query asin - The ASIN of the item for which you want an eligibility preview.

    • Query program - The program that you want to check eligibility against. The default value is INBOUND.

  • downloadReport (Reports 2021-06-30) - Allows you to download reports using pre-signed URLs.

    • Report URL - Pre-signed URL for the report document.The default value is empty.

    • Compression Algorithm - A dropdown box to select the correct algorithm if the report contents have been compressed. The response will be decompressed when the operation is successful.

  • getInvoiceStatus (Shipment Invoicing) - Returns the invoice status for the shipment you specifiy.

    • Path shipmentId - The shipment identifier for the shipment.
  • getShipmentDetails (Shipment Invoicing) - Returns the Details about Shipment, Carrier Details, status of the shipment, container details and other details related to shipment based on the filter parameters value that you specify.

    • Query packageClientReferenceId - The package client reference identifier originally provided in the request body parameter for the getRates operation.
    • Query format - The file format of the document. Must be one of the supported formats returned by the getRates operation.
    • Query dpi - The file format of the document. Must be one of the supported formats returned by the getRates operation.
  • getCollectionForm (Shipping) - Reprints the collection form.

    • Path collectionFormId - The collection form Id to reprint a collection.
    • Header x-amzn-shipping-business-id - Amazon shipping business to assume for this request. The default value is AmazonShipping_UK.
  • getAdditionalInputs (Shipping) - Returns the JSON schema to use for providing additional inputs when needed to purchase a shipping offering.

    • Maximum Number of Documents - The maximum number of documents to retrieve from Selling Partner. Provide a number greater than 0 to limit the results, otherwise the results will be unlimited.

Retry Logic for 429 error responses

For any connector operation execution, if the SP-API returns a 429 error response stating that the API rate limit is reached, the connector retries the request up to four times using a backoff strategy.
