Pausing listeners

You can pause all or selected listeners.

Before you begin

You must have the Runtime Management privilege to perform this task. If you have the Runtime Management Read Access privilege, you cannot perform the task.

Procedure

1. Go to Manage > Runtime Management.

2. Select the runtime from the list on the left.

3. Select the Listeners panel.

   The deployed listeners to the selected runtime appear.

4. Optional: To filter the list:

   • Use the search field to find listeners by name, or use the Filter dropdown to show only listeners in a specific status. You can select one or more statuses: Listening, Paused, Errored, or Degraded.

5. Optional: To select specific listeners, select the check box for each listener that you want to restart.

   You can simultaneously toggle the check boxes for all listeners of a given connector type by selecting the check box for the connector type grouping — for example, Web Services Server.

6. Click Restart above the list, and in the drop-down list select one of the following:

   • All Listeners
   • Selected Listeners (if you selected listeners in step 5)
   • Hover over the listener row to reveal the options menu, then select Restart, Pause, or Resume.

   A confirmation dialog opens.

7. Click Pause.

   A message appears informing you the listeners have been restarted. However, the list of listeners does not refresh automatically.

   Note: After updating extensions, all listeners restart.

   Note: If a listener is paused when you request the restart, that listener remains paused after restarting.

8. Optional: Click the Refresh icon to view the Last Update timestamp.
