Boomi Enterprise Platform January 2025 Release Notes

These release notes identify the new features and bug fixes in the Boomi Enterprise Platform in January 2025.

Subject to the terms and conditions of our existing contract with your firm, and liability provisions and limits therein, we confirm that Boomi has successfully passed all applicable test cases associated with the updates identified in this product release.

Boomi Enterprise Platform Release Cadence Change

As of January 2025, the Boomi Enterprise Platform release cadence is following a new schedule. Boomi is making this change to streamline planning, ensure compliance, and continue to provide a predictable change schedule.

This new release schedule includes functional releases in alternating months, as outlined below. The monthly maintenance window for releases continues to be limited to 4 hours.

January, March, May, July, September, November

Critical bug fixes, essential infrastructure updates, several independently operating services, and connectors remain outside of this cadence to ensure flexibility. The expected impact of such updates is a group of service restarts, expected to last just a few minutes.

Platform

This update enhances audit logs by including ROLE_NAME for improved readability and records modifications to the role. There are significant profile improvements for XML, JSON, Database, EDI, and Flat File. You can also rearrange tabs on the Build canvas using drag-and-drop functionality, which includes visual cues to indicate movement and updates the tab order in the All drop-down menu.

The new Resolve Agent utilizes Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) to enhance troubleshooting by generating solutions and linking to a broader range of help and community articles. Scribe now documents any integration version and branch on the Integration canvas, including process schedules.

Runtime

Internal logging framework enhancements boost resiliency and scalability, with improved monitoring of container and worker logs. Java and Docker Image updates include upgrades to Java version 11.0.25.9.1 for various installers and images.

Integration

A new optional account property has been introduced for Partner API requests, allowing rate limits to be determined based on specific account settings. Users can now access the Branch Management page without Build privileges if Branch and Merge is enabled, provided they have no other Integration-related privileges.

Platform API and Partner API

The Branch object's UPDATE and CREATE operations now require users to have the Branch Create & Modify Access privilege. A new optional account property, overrideAccountRateLimit, has been introduced for Partner API requests.

Connectivity

Amazon Selling Partner (Tech Preview) Connector: The Query operation now supports multiple object types, including getOrders and listReturnReasonCodes, enhancing data retrieval capabilities. FHIR Client Connector: Now generally available, this connector facilitates seamless integration with FHIR-compliant systems for healthcare data exchange.

Connectivity Development

Connectors can now be uploaded with the strictClassLoading=true setting in the configuration file, offering improved control over class loading processes. This enhancement builds upon the previous strict class loader feature, providing users with greater flexibility and security in managing connector configurations.

DataHub

The new Command Center, powered by ServiceNow, offers a dynamic 360-degree visualization of golden records, enabling stakeholders to gain insights into data context and quality. The DataHub dashboard has been revamped with a modern look, improving user experience and golden record visualization.

B2B/EDI Management

This release introduces new features to enhance MLLP Server operations and management. When configuring users for an MLLP Server Operation by route key, each user must now have a unique SSL certificate, improving security and user management.

API Management

The API Gateway is now available in a container form factor, allowing for lightweight and scalable deployment using Docker Compose or Kubernetes. New API Gateway policies are supported, including Groovy for custom scripting, JSON to XML transformation, traffic shadowing, HTML to JSON transformation, JSON to JSON mapping, and REST to SOAP conversion, enhancing flexibility in API processing

Event Streams

In our continued effort to support additional regions, the Event Streams Cloud Production environment is now available for United Kingdom (UK).

Marketplace

Task Automation solutions were added to the Boomi Discover catalog, allowing you to easily browse and install these solutions.
