Managed File Transfer Release Notes for November 2026

Updated

November 6 2026

Automated File Transfer v6.16.0.0

New Features

  • Introduced external command execution for the MFT Runtime. You can configure a command on both Windows and Linux to run on each file after download and before delivery, such as an antivirus scan. The outcome of the command run displays in File Activity for each file. (AFT-988)
  • Introduced IP allowlist management. Users with the MFT Ops - IP Allowlist permission can add, edit, and remove allowed IP addresses for a dedicated environment from the IP Allowlist page in MFT Ops. (AFT-1829, AFT-1595)
  • Introduced the Ignore zero-length files setting for external source flow endpoints. When selected, flows skip 0-byte files at the source without changing them. You can also set it through the Management API. (AFT-1641, AFT-1644)
  • Introduced the POST /api/Report/FlowSummary endpoint for per-flow file and transfer counts over a date range. (AFT-1522)

Enhancements

  • Enhanced transfer connection errors so the StateMessage on TransferRequest and ClientResponse shows the underlying error, such as Permission denied (publickey), instead of only Connection Error. (AFT-1448)

Fixes

  • Resolved several Activity API issues where scoping and paging parameters were ignored or returned incorrect results. (AFT-1522)

File Sharing 9.10.14

New Features

  • Introduced a site-level setting that lets administrators enable or disable Contacts sharing. When disabled, users cannot share the contacts and contact lists with other groups or with all users. (FS-623)
  • Introduced a configurable allowlist for approved email link domains, including wildcard and subdomain entries. You control which external links are permitted in emails. (FS-622)

Enhancements

  • Increased the character limit for the Contact Email field in the File Sharing portal's User View to 100 characters. You can now save longer, valid enterprise email addresses without truncation. (FS-621, FS-508)
  • Added the ability to edit the Company and Phone fields for SSO users. Admins can update them in User Management, and SSO users can update them from their own profile. (FS-277)

Fixes

  • Resolved an issue where external partners who registered on a mobile device were redirected to the portal login page instead of the registration form. Also resolved the same issue in password-reset and user-invitation flows. (FS-345)
  • Resolved an issue where the Client IP column was missing from CSV exports of the Transaction Log report, even with Full Detail enabled. CSV exports now include Client IP, matching the UI grid. (FS-242)
