API Management Release Notes for August 2026

August 18 2026

Cloud API Management

New
We added this feature
  • The following features, previously available only upon request, are now available to all customers by default (WA-18087):

    • Domain restriction (available since June 2026)

Administrators can restrict a domain so it's visible and selectable only within a specific organization. Any other organization in the same area will not have access to it when setting up their public endpoint address, ensuring each environment uses only the domains intended for it. You can set this up from Manage > Domains or Manage > Organizations.

Refer to Assigning organizations to a domain and Managing Organization Domains for more information.

    • Area Encryption Key (available since June 2026)

Administrators can view the area encryption key directly in Control Center.

Refer to Area Encryption Key for more information.

    • Embedded GraphQL editor (available since June 2026)

Test and view GraphQL APIs directly from the Developer Portal's I/O Doc section using the built-in GraphQL editor.

Refer to Leveraging your GraphQL API Interactive Documentation for more information.

    • Import API from Boomi Platform (available since January 2026)

Discover and import a Platform API Service into Cloud API Management to secure APIs, manage access controls, and build API policies without manual imports.

Refer to Prerequisites for Importing Platform API Services and Importing API from Boomi Platform for more information.

  • When creating a new endpoint on the Endpoint Create: New Endpoint Definition page, the protocol in the Customize your Public Endpoint Address field now defaults to HTTPS instead of HTTP for more secure API configurations. All new endpoints will use HTTPS by default, though you can change this to HTTP when creating the endpoint if needed. Existing endpoints and their saved protocol settings remain unchanged. (WA-17175)

Refer to Creating an Endpoint Manually for more information.

API Control Plane

New
We added this feature
  • Added the Automatically create SAML users on first login option that allows you to disable the automatic creation of SAML users upon their first login. This allows administrators to pre-create users. (ACP-4340)
Fix
We fixed these issues
  • Global admins could not view or edit the menu items that had Guest only visibility in Boomi-managed and self-managed developer portals. (ACP-4476)
  • Added additional details to user role descriptions in the UI and documentation. (ACP-497)

Known Issue

  • The MCP server for an enabled API product from API Control Plane may suddenly fail to connect when upgrading your MCP client. The issue is dependent on the specific MCP client and if it includes form or URL elicitation support. As a workaround, you can downgrade the MCP client you are using to the version used prior to the connection failures. This issue will be fixed in an upcoming release.
