Custom accounts

Custom accounts list accounts and agents from providers not currently supported by the Boomi Agent Control Tower. Custom accounts helps list all your agents in one place. You can create multiple accounts representing different services and add, organize, and group agents.

You can update these accounts and agents as and when you require.

note

Since the agents and accounts are manually listed, you cannot sync to receive the latest updates or view metrics for the agents.

Benefits of Custom accounts

  • Unified Agent Management: Access and manage all agents (agents outside of Agent Control Tower) from a single, centralized platform, eliminating the need to navigate multiple interfaces.

  • Enhanced Agent Organization: Group and categorize agents using custom accounts, enabling efficient tracking and management, especially when dealing with many agents.

  • Improved Team Collaboration: Facilitate seamless teamwork through shared access to custom accounts and agent information.

You can also create custom account provider accounts and agents using the Custom Accounts GraphQL APIs.

Creating an account

  1. Under Custom Accounts from the Manage Providers landing page, click Accounts.

  2. Click + Add New Account.

  3. Enter an Account Name.

  4. Choose a provider from the dropdown. If you have not selected a particular provider, the default value is "Custom provider".

  5. Enter your account ID.

  6. Enter a description for the account.

  7. Click Add Account.

A success message appears, and your account will appear on the Custom Accounts landing page. Since this is a manual registration, you can add multiple accounts of different services. You can select "Custom Provider" if the name of the provider you want isn't currently available. Currently the custom accounts supports the following sub-providers:

You can update the name and description of your account as required by clicking on the account name from the Custom Accounts landing page.

To add agents to a particular provider account, select the manual method of adding your agents.

You can also delete your account if it is no longer needed. If you delete an account, all the agents listed under it will also be deleted.

Adding agents to your custom accounts

You can list your individual agents within custom accounts using your custom provider accounts. You can add your custom agents in two ways:
