Solution components
Orchestrate is an Early Access release. Refer to the Early Access disclaimer for details.
Understanding the core components of Boomi Orchestrate helps you design solutions effectively. A solution consists of assets organized in workspaces. You build those assets through an AI-driven design process using a conversational panel and a visual solution canvas.

Solution
A solution is a cross-product architectural design that represents how multiple Boomi assets work together to achieve a business goal.
Each solution has a unique ID.
Node
A node is the visual representation of an asset in a solution draft. Each node shows the asset type, its name, and its current build state. Orchestrate connects nodes with lines that show their relationships in the solution.
Asset
An asset is an individual component in a solution that corresponds to a Boomi product. Each asset node on the solution canvas represents one of the following:
- Integration process
- Data Hub model
- API Management API
- Agentstudio agent
- Event Streams topic (availability varies by account)
Assets are not immediately configured or deployed when Orchestrate generates a solution. Each asset contains a deep link to its corresponding product for configuration after you save and build the solution.
Workspace
A workspace is the container where Orchestrate stores and manages your solutions. Every account has a default workspace. You can view all solutions in your workspace from the Workspaces > Solutions view in Orchestrate. Refer to Viewing a solution to learn more.
Conversational panel
The conversational panel is the primary interface for describing your business goal and refining the solution with AI. You type a natural language prompt, and the AI asks clarifying questions before generating the solution. The panel is available throughout the design experience and you can collapse or expand it.
Orchestrate locks the panel while an asset build is in progress.
Solution view
Solution view is the primary canvas where you see your solution displayed as a visual architecture map. Each node represents an asset, and lines between nodes indicate a connection between assets.
Solution view is where you confirm, edit, and build the assets in your solution.
Business view
Business view is a read-only, plain-language summary of your solution. It describes the high-level business capabilities and the goal of the solution without showing the technical architecture. Orchestrate generates Business view on demand from Solution view and you must regenerate it manually if the solution changes.
Business view is useful for sharing the solution context with non-technical stakeholders. Refer to Interacting with the business view to learn more.
