Creating a flat file profile from the Component Explorer

When you create a flat file profile in Component Explorer, you pre-select the storage folder.

Procedure

1. On the Build page in the Component Explorer, navigate to the folder in which you want to create the flat file profile.

2. Click the blue arrow next to the folder.

3. Click the New Component link.

   The Create Component dialog opens with the folder selected.

4. Select Profile from the first list box.

5. Type a name for the profile.

   The maximum length is 255 characters.

6. Select Flat File from the last list box.

7. Click Create.

   The component appears on a tab with the name you entered. Below that are an Options tab, Data Elements tab, and an Import button.
