Editing Office files

You can open and edit Office files stored in your MFT site from your desktop's Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Procedure

1. Open the Office application (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint). For example, open a MFT document from Microsoft Word.

2. Select the MFT icon to access your files stored in MFT.

3. If you have installed the Add-in or signed out, you are prompted to sign in to your MFT site. Refer to Signing In to MFT – Office 365 Add-In for more information.

4. To open a file from MFT select Open Other Documents/Presentations/Workbooks at the bottom of the page and then select the File > Open > MFT icon.

5. Click Open MFT to select a file and open it in your Office application.

6. After opening the file in your Office app, you can edit it, and all changes will be saved to MFT.
