Creating and saving Office files to MFT
You can create new Microsoft Office 365 files (from Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) and save them to your MFT site. The files saved using this "Add-in" are saved only to your MFT site; a local copy is NOT concurrently saved to your desktop storage. You need to save another copy to your local folder.

- If the Add-in doesn't work after installation, ensure all Microsoft Office applications are closed during installation.
- If they were open, close and restart the applications to activate the MFT Add-In.
Procedure
- Open the Office application (Word, Excel, or PowerPoint) and create a new file. For example, let us create and save a Word document.
- Navigate to File > Save As in the Office application and select the MFT icon.
- If you are signed out, you must sign in to your MFT site to set up the Add-in.

- Enter a document name and click the Browse MFT.
- You are navigated to the cloud file system to choose the folder on your MFT site where you want to save this file.
The file can be added to your personal folders or within shared folders in MFT.
- Click Save. The file is saved to the chosen location on your MFT site.
- Once the file is saved to your MFT site, it will be updated on your ** MFT ** site every time you make new changes and click Save.
