Configuring notifications

You can use Notifications to receive email alerts for various transactions within a selected folder. This feature is useful for folders shared among multiple users, as it lets you track all changes to the content.

note

You can only set notifications for folders, not files.

Modifying transaction types received for a folder

To modify the types of transactions you receive for a folder, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Boomi Managed File Transfer File Sharing page.
  2. Click the Notifications tab.
  3. Select the folder you want to modify from the notifications tab.
  4. Click Modify. By default, a folder added to notifications includes all transactions for messages.
  5. Clear the transactions for which you don't want to receive email notifications.
  6. Click Save when completed.

Activating/Deactivating a folder

If you want to disable notifications for a folder and turn them on later, you can activate or deactivate a folder within Notifications.

  1. Navigate to the Managed File Transfer File Sharing page.
  2. Click the Notifications tab.
  3. Select the checkbox next to the folder.
  4. Do one of the following:
    • Click Deactivate to deactivate a folder or file. A red cross mark appears at the Active status if a folder is deactivated.
    • Click Activate to activate a folder or file. A green check mark appears on the Active status if a folder is activated.

Removing a folder from Notifications

To remove a folder from notifications, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Notifications tab.
  2. Select the checkbox next to the folder you want to remove.
  3. Click Remove. The folder will no longer appear under Notifications.
