Setting up SFTP public key authentication
Requests for enabling SFTP public key authentication on a MFT customer site must come directly from the MFT customer, not from their end users or third-party customers.
MFT customer must request for SFTP public key authentication on a customer MFT site(not from a third party).
Requirements for SFTP public key setup:
-
The MFT customer’s service contact must send an email authorizing the addition of the public key to their MFT site, including for their own use or on behalf of their customer.
-
The service contact must also provide the MFT user account that will be used with the public key authentication.
-
MFT support requires this information to complete the configuration on the MFT servers.
The MFT customer must provide MFT with their customer’s public key sent to us via the secure upload link.
- The public key directly from the 3rd party is not accepted.
- If a third-party user (the MFT customer’s customer) contacts MFT Support directly regarding SFTP setup, MFT Support will notify the official MFT customer service contact via email about the request.
