Defining FTP settings
You can use Boomi Managed File Transfer to access the service through an FTP client. The Boomi Managed File Transfer FTP service lets you log into your site using SFTP or FTPS protocols.
info
- SFTP and FTPS access requires IP address allowlisting with MFT before accepting a connection.
| Region | Host |
|---|---|
| US | usnc-sftps.thruinc.net |
| UK | uks-sftp.thruinc.net |
| AUS | aue-sftp.thruinc.net |
| GER | eu-sftps.thruinc.net |
| US Sandbox | us-ftpsbx-02.thruinc.net |
To configure your FTP client to connect to MFT, refer to the following information:
- Protocol: Select SFTP or FTPS as your secure FTP protocol.
- Encryption: Require explicit FTP over TLS (required for FTPS)
- Logon Type: Select your preference
- User: A combination of MFT site portal URL and username (usually an email address).
- Example: demo.thruinc.net\example@ftpuser.com
- Password: The same password used for MFT portal authentication.
Network firewall considerations
- You may need to enable egress connections to MFT FTP services on a corporate firewall.
- If you receive the error "The server rejected SFTP connection, but it listens for FTP connections" after attempting the authenticated connection, you most likely need to add MFT FTP host to the firewall allowlist.
