Setting up SFTP public key authentication
Requests to enable SFTP public key authentication on a customer MFT site must be submitted directly by the MFT customer. Only the MFT customer (the direct client of MFT) is allowed to submit or register a MFT site.
Requests from their end users or third-party clients will not be accepted.

An email from the MFT customer service contact authorizing the addition of the public key to their site (including their own).

The service contact need to provide the MFT user account that will be used with the public key authentication.

MFT support requires this information to complete the configuration on the MFT servers.

The MFT customer must provide MFT with their customer’s public key sent to us via the secure upload link.

We cannot accept the public key directly from the third party.

If the MFT customer’s third-party contacts MFT support directly, MFT Support will notify the MFT customer service contact via email about the request.
