Endpoints
Organizations use endpoints for file transfers. Source endpoints send files and target endpoints receive files from other organizations.
MFT supports the following endpoint types:
- MFT FTPS Server.
- External FTPS Server
- MFT SFTP Server.
- External SFTP Server
- MFT HTTPS
- File Share / MFT Node
- Amazon S3
- Azure Blob
- MFT Integration Connector
- MFT File Sharing

- Google Cloud Storage
- Azure Files
Endpoints are categorized into client and server types, specifically as External Endpoints and MFT Server Endpoints.
- External endpoints are established when MFT connects to an external server using user-provided credentials.
- MFT Server endpoints occur when MFT functions as a server for the user. When using a MFT Server Endpoint, it is necessary to generate a User to gain access to the MFT server.
The Organizational Endpoints dashboard displays a list of all endpoints linked to a specific organization.
On Organizational Endpoints page, you can:
- Create new endpoints for the organization.
- Edit or duplicate endpoints
- Enable/disable endpoints.
- Delete endpoints.
- View associated flows.
Organizational Endpoints are required to set up a file exchange processes in Flow Studio.
caution
When an organization's endpoint configuration is modified, such as a change in username or password, this update must be propagated to all workflows that use the endpoint as a flow endpoint.
