KnowBe4 - Partner connector

Partner connectors developed by our Tech Partners and published on the Boomi platform provide seamless integration solutions for customers. Customers will initiate support for these connectors through the Boomi Support Portal, where tickets will be triaged to the respective partner. The partner or their designated third party is responsible for ongoing support, including troubleshooting, bug fixes, and resolving related issues.

Benefits

The benefits of using the KnowBe4 connector in a process include the following:

  • Action-based approach – All the CRUD operations can be performed via the
    actions as per Boomi standards

  • Multiple object types per action – For the same action, user can work with more
    than one object type, such as users, groups, or campaigns, all in a single operation.

  • Automate routine tasks – Automatically manage users, group memberships, and
    campaign enrollment without manual effort.

  • Flexible and dynamic input – Pass data using message payloads or parameters,
    giving the user full control over the operations.

  • Error handling scenario – Decide whether a process should stop on errors or

  • Seamless synchronization – Boomi and KnowBe4 have a synchronization for user
    management, group membership, and campaign orchestration.

Connector configuration

To configure the connector to communicate with KnowBe4, set up two components:

This design provides reusable components that contain connection settings and operation
settings. After building the connection and operation, set up the connector within a
process. When the process is defined correctly, users can integrate with virtually any
system using the KnowBe4 connector to manage users, groups, training campaigns, and
phishing campaigns.

Prerequisites

Below are the prerequisites to configure for the KnowBe4 connector in the Boomi
platform.

System requirements

  • KnowBe4 administrator access for corresponding organization with API access
    enabled
  • Basic runtime running with Java 11

Required credentials

  • KnowBe4 API Token (access token) generated from the KnowBe4 Dashboard. User
    can use the KnowBe4 console to manage API access.

  • KnowBe4 Region where the account is hosted (US, EU, CA, UK, or DE). The region
    determines which API endpoint the connector uses to communicate with KnowBe4.
