The Notion source in Data Integration comes with the following predefined reports, covering workspace users, database records, page metadata, and page block content.
Predefined reports
| Report | Description | Sync type |
|---|---|---|
| Search Results | Retrieves metadata for each database and page you selected in the source pickers. Each selected item is fetched by its Notion ID, so the report contains exactly the items you chose — not a full workspace search. | Full refresh |
| Database Records | Retrieves all records from each selected database by querying it with the Notion database query API. Runs once per selected database and appends a data_source_id column to each row so you can trace the origin database. Supports an optional last-edited-time window for incremental syncs. | Full refresh / Incremental |
| Users | Retrieves all users and bots in the workspace, including name, type (person or bot), and email address (for person users). | Full refresh |
| Block Children | Retrieves the first-level block content of each selected page. Runs once per selected page and appends a page_id column to each row. Nested blocks are not recursively fetched. | Full refresh |
Database Records and Block Children each loop over your picker selections — one API call per selected database or page. Selecting more items increases run time proportionally.
Report parameters
The Database Records report has one configurable parameter:
- Last-edited window (optional): A date range that limits the sync to records whose last-edited time falls within the window. Leave it empty to pull all records (full refresh). Set a start date to run an incremental sync from that point forward, or set both start and end dates for a bounded window.
The other three reports have no additional parameters and always run as full refreshes.
Known limitations
- Databases and pages only appear in the pickers when they have been shared with your Notion integration. If an item is missing, share it in Notion first (see Notion connection).
- Block Children fetches one level of blocks per page. Blocks nested inside other blocks are not returned.
- The last-edited-time filter on Database Records requires two separate filter conditions because Notion honors only one bound per timestamp condition. The connector handles this automatically — you only need to set the date range parameter.
- Search Results and Block Children scope to exactly the pages you selected, not the entire workspace. Add more pages to the Pages picker to expand coverage.
