Notion connection

Updated
info

This connector is currently in Early Access. Contact support for details.

The Notion source connector syncs your Notion workspace data — database records, page metadata, block content, and workspace users — into your data warehouse. Because access is scoped to an internal Notion integration, only the databases and pages you explicitly share with that integration appear in the connector's pickers.

Prerequisite

You need a Notion workspace with owner or member permissions, and the ability to create an internal integration for that workspace.

Authentication methods

You use an internal integration token when you create the connection:

  • Internal integration token: The secret token generated when you create a Notion internal integration. It looks like secret_xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Retrieving your credentials

  1. Navigate to Notion integrations (Settings → Connections → Develop or manage integrations).
  2. Select + New integration.
  3. Give the integration a name (for example, Data Integration Sync), select your workspace, and choose Internal as the integration type.
  4. Under Capabilities, enable at minimum Read content and Read user information including email addresses.
  5. Select Save, then copy the Internal Integration Token (also shown as Secret). This is the credential you enter in the connection form.
  6. Share the databases and pages you want to sync with the integration. Open each item in Notion, select … → Connections → your integration name. Only items shared this way appear in the source pickers.

Connecting Notion to Data Integration

  1. Navigate to the Data Integration console.
  2. Select Connections, then select + New Connection.
  3. Search for and select Notion as the connection type.
  4. Enter a Connection Name to identify this connection.
  5. Enter your Internal Integration Token.
  6. Select Test Connection to confirm Data Integration can authenticate and reach your Notion workspace.
  7. Select Save to finish creating the connection.

Known limitations

  • Only databases and pages shared with your integration appear in the pickers. If an item is missing, open it in Notion and share it with your integration via … → Connections.
  • The connector uses an internal integration token (bearer auth). OAuth 2.0 authorization-code flow is not supported.
  • Block content is fetched one level deep. Nested blocks inside a block are not recursively fetched.
  • The Databases and Pages pickers populate only after a valid connection is selected. Select your Notion connection first, then wait for the pickers to load.

If you need a report or object that isn't currently supported, contact support so it can be evaluated for a future release.
