LKQD walkthrough
Pulling data from LKQD in Data Integration
Data Integration lets you build reports of LKQD in a similar structure to reports built in the LKQD UI. The report can be generated from the selected dimensions and pre-defined metrics (the metrics are default and cannot be changed)
Procedure
- Select the dimensions of the report:
a. Click on the input to view a list of all available dimensions. You can search in this list.
b. LKQD lets you select up to 4 dimensions.
c. Some dimensions might contain large amounts of data, which can cause issues when pulling data for long periods (for example, domain). Refer to the Time Period section to learn how to handle these issues.
- Add filters to the report. Filters can be helpful if the account contains a large amount of data and you want to reduce the amount of data pulled. (Filtering by Environment can be easy and useful.)
a. Click Add to add filters.
b. Click Add filter to open a list of available columns to filter.
c. Enter the value to filter by using the value input.
d. Click Add to add additional filters.
- Select the time period of the report:
a. Enter any start date: Data Integration pulls data from LKQD from that given start date forward
b. Enter any end date: Data Integration pulls data from LKQD only until that end date. Leave the end date empty to pull data until the moment the river runs.
c. Days back: Use this input to pull data from a given number of days before the given start date. This option is useful when there are retroactive updates and you must pull the data again after some time.
- Select the aggregation of the report:
a. Daily grouping level returns the time column with dates in the format yyyy-mm-dd.
b. Hourly grouping level returns the time column with dates and hours in the format yyyy-mm-ddThh.
c. All grouping levels return only summary information for each combination of the selected dimensions.
Some combinations of "period grouping level" and "interval chunk size" cannot be selected together.
- Select the timezone of the report. UTC is the default timezone.
-
Interval chunk size: This input is used when pulling large amounts of data from LKQD.
-
Large amounts of data might be due to long periods or a large selected dimension (like a domain).
The default interval chunk is Daily. If you want to pull multiple days and are certain that your LKQD data can be pulled in one interval, you can cancel the interval by selecting "Don’t Split." -
When using the interval chunk size, each interval requires sending a request to LKQD and changes your daily quota. There is a limit to the intervals and the number of LKQD runs in a day.
-
Use the interval size input to select a specific-sized interval.
LKQD limits
The common restriction in LKQD is 30 requests per day. You should consider this restriction when configuring the LKQD river.
