Google Analytics connection

This connection page works with Universal Analytics and Google Analytics 4.

Procedure

1. Navigate to the Data Integration console.
2. Click Connections in the left-hand menu.
3. Click + New Connection.
4. Find and select the Google Analytics.

   You can also create a connection from River > Add River page.

5. Enter the Connection Name.
6. Click Sign in with Google.
7. Connect with the appropriate Google Analytics account.
8. Click Test Connection to verify your connection. If the connection is successful, you can use this connection in Data Integration.

• If clicking the Sign in with Google option does not trigger any action:

  • Your browser might be blocking the pop-up window.
  • Look for a pop-up blocked notification near the right side of the URL bar.
  • Click on this notification and select Always allow pop-up from Data Integration.
  • After allowing pop-up, try clicking "Sign in with Google" to connect your Google account.

• If you encounter any connection problems during connection testing or when running the River:

  • Go to the Google Analytics settings page.
  • Select Admin > User Management.
  • Make sure the connected user has both Collaborate and Read & Analyze permissions.
  • The user must also be an Administrator on the corresponding Google account.
