Google Ad Manager troubleshooting

Why can not I view some of my saved queries

Follow these steps after each step try to pull the saved queries again and view if the issue is fixed:

  1. Refresh the Data Integration page in your browser.

  2. Make sure the connection passes the test connection method successfully.

  3. Make sure that the user who authenticated with Data Integration (in the connection) has permissions to the saved queries in the Google Ad Manager console.

  4. Re authenticate the connection in Data Integration and verify that the new connection passed the test connection method.

Still can not view some of the saved queries?

Certain reporting features are not available in the API. This includes columns, dimension attributes, dimensions, and date range types. We do not return Non compatible queries and that is why you do not view them in the UI.

A good indication to what data is API compatible can be derived by emulating the saved query in the Data Flow by creating a new report.

If you can not find the information (dimension, metric, date range type etc') in the Data Flow it is probably not valid for the API.

For incompatible date range types, you can save the query with a supported type to make it retrievable, then alter the query to meet your desired fixed date range.

Interactive report (Beta) troubleshooting

My report does not appear in the dropdown

Only published reports appear in the dropdown. Open the report in Google Ad Manager, publish it, and then refresh the dropdown in Data Integration.

I receive an error when running the report

Check the following:

  • Permissions: Verify that the Google account used in your connection has access to the report in Google Ad Manager.
  • Draft status: Confirm the report is published, not in draft.
  • Network: Confirm the network selected in Data Integration matches the network where the report was created.

The date range returned is not what I expected

The report runs with the date range set in the Google Ad Manager UI. To use a different date range, update the report in Google Ad Manager and run the Data Flow again.

The Extract method and date range options are not available

The Extract method dropdown and date range picker do not appear for the Interactive report tab. Each run retrieves all rows for the date range set in the Google Ad Manager report. To pull data incrementally, use the Create a new report tab instead.
