Creating a new report
General inputs in all DoubleClick reports
Procedure
-
Select create a new report.
-
In the Profile field (mandatory), select a profile from the list of available profiles.
-
Enable Keep report to save the report in DoubleClick Reporting. If selected, the report is saved and available in DoubleClick Reporting.
-
Enter the report name. If left empty, a default name will be used.
-
Select the Time period the report.
You can select to run for a specific date range or a customized time period (like the last 7 days or month to date).
-
Selected date range: Enter a start and end date.
-
Last days back: Specifies running the report for the given number of days before the start date.
-
-
Select the Interval chunks size to split the API run into multiple requests based on the selected interval.
- For example, if the time range is one month and the interval is weekly, the API sends four separate requests, one for each week. Use this option while working with large amounts of data.
In case of pulling a column of date, running the API in intervals returns duplicated results.
After you run the river for the first time and enable Keep report, the report is saved in the DoubleClick Reporting system with the same configuration. If you schedule the river to run hourly or daily, turn off Keep report to avoid creating multiple saved reports in DoubleClick.

Select run existing report.
-
Select a Profile (mandatory).
A list of available profiles is displayed. -
Select the Report to run.
-
Click Load report Details to view all the inputs of the selected report. All these inputs are not editable.
In some cases, input fields may display only IDs without names. This does not affect the ability to run the report. You can refresh the list to populate it with updated values.
-
Turn on the Update report checkbox to edit the report inputs.
When this report is executed, the DoubleClick system will update the original report.
Scheduling reports in DoubleClick rivers
When you schedule a DoubleClick river, the report is executed at defined intervals. If the river is configured to create a new report and keep report is enabled, a new report is saved in the DoubleClick reporting system after each scheduled run. For example, if the river runs every hour, it creates 24 separate reports in DoubleClick—one for each hour. To avoid this, turn off Keep report when scheduling a river that creates a new report in DoubleClick. This ensures that only the first report is saved in DoubleClick, and all subsequent runs reuse the same configuration without creating new reports.
Limitations
- Data Integration supports reports in CSV format. Make sure you select the CSV format and not the XLS format.
- DoubleClick Rivers may take longer to run, depending on the time it takes for the report to generate on the DoubleClick. To optimize this, refer to DoubleClick's Reporting Best Practice.
- Long run times may be caused by large date ranges or data volumes. DoubleClick documentation shows no correlation between report runtime and the number of rows returned in the data.
