Creating a Customer Gauge connection

Prerequisites

All prerequisites are available in the account's Admin section under API IP whitelist.

  • An API key generated by Customer Gauge.
  • The production server used to log in to your Customer Gauge account.
  • Whitelist the required 'IP addresses' for the river to run.

Generating API key by Customer Gauge and the production server

You need an API key generated by Customer Gauge and the production server to set the connection.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to the Data Integration console.

  2. Click Connections, then select + Create New Connection.

  3. Choose Customer Gauge.

  4. Enter the Connection Name and provide the details:

    a. API Key: API Key generated by CustomerGauge.

    b. Production server (choose one of the following locations): Australia (au), Europe (eu) and United States (us).

Make sure you whitelist the required Whitelist IPs before testing the connection.

  1. Click Save and create the connection.

  2. Click the Test Connection to verify it. If the connection is successful, the connection is ready to use in Data Integration.

Troubleshoot the connection when Test Connection fails:

  1. Verify that the API key is correct.

  2. Ensure that the IPs needed for the river are whitelisted.

  3. Confirm that the correct production server is selected.
