BDI Activities connection

Updated

BDI Activities is a meta-connector: it syncs operational data about your own Boomi Data Integration (formerly Rivery) account — data flow runs, activity summaries, users, and audit events — into your data warehouse, so you can monitor and report on your Boomi Data Integration usage the same way you report on any other source.

Prerequisite

You need a Boomi Data Integration account with a super-admin API bearer token, and your account ID and environment ID.

Authentication methods

You use a bearer token when you create the connection:

  • Bearer token: Your Boomi Data Integration API bearer token.

Retrieving your credentials

  1. Generate an API bearer token for your Boomi Data Integration account.
  2. Find your Account ID and Environment ID as the first and second ID segments in your Boomi Data Integration console URL — for example, in https://console.rivery.io/rivers/{account_id}/{environment_id}/new/source-to-target, the first segment is your Account ID and the second is your Environment ID.
  3. Note which regional API host your account runs on (US, EU, AU, or IL) — you'll need the full host URL when you connect.

Connecting BDI Activities to Data Integration

  1. Navigate to the Data Integration console.
  2. Select Connections, then select + New Connection.
  3. Search for and select BDI Activities as the connection type.
  4. Enter a Connection Name to identify this connection.
  5. Enter your API Bearer Token.
  6. Enter your Account ID.
  7. Enter your Environment ID.
  8. Enter your Region as the full API host URL matching your account (for example https://api.rivery.io for US, https://eu-west-1.api.rivery.io for EU, https://ap-southeast-2.api.rivery.io for AU, or https://api.il-central-1.rivery.io for IL).
  9. Select Test Connection to confirm Data Integration can authenticate and reach your account.
  10. Select Save to finish creating the connection.

Known limitations

  • Account ID, Environment ID, and Region are plain text fields — enter them exactly as they appear in your Boomi Data Integration console URL and account settings. There's no picker, since these values are specific to your own account rather than something the API can list for you to choose from.
  • The Activities report requires a date range on every call. Leave it at its default to pull all available activity summaries, or narrow it to scope the pull.

If you need a report or object that isn't currently supported, contact support so it can be evaluated for a future release.
