Adaptive Planning walkthrough
Adaptive Planning API version 32 is currently supported.
Data Integration supports Adaptive Planning report integration. Extract data seamlessly from your Adaptive Planning instances. This report focuses on "General reports" and the "Export data reports".
General reports
Use the Instance drop-down menu to select the account from which to pull data. If your account connects multiple Adaptive instances, this menu lets you choose the specific instance.
Leave the Instance drop-down menu empty if:
- You want to pull data from your default instance.
- You have only one instance connected.
Export data report
The Export Data Report lets you extract raw data from Adaptive Planning, providing the same export capabilities as those offered in the Adaptive console.
Configuring the export data report
Step 1: selecting the report
Select the Export Data Report from the Adaptive console.
Step 2: choosing a version
Select the required version or leave the Version drop-down empty to use your account’s default version.
Step 3: selecting accounts
- Click Accounts to load the list of all available accounts.
- Click again to extend the list. Use the search bar for specific accounts.
- Select an account by selecting the checkbox next to it and clicking Save.
Step 4: include descendants
- After saving your account selection, you can choose additional options by selecting the Include Descendants checkbox.
- This option includes direct descendants (For example, selecting asset includes current assets, fixed assets, and more).
Step 5: selecting levels
- Click Levels to load the list of available levels.
- Select a level by selecting the checkbox next to it and clicking Save.
Step 6: include levels and roll-ups
- You can include descendants by selecting the Include Descendants checkbox.
- Select the Is Rollup checkbox to aggregate the results to that level.
Step 7: selecting dimensions
- Choose the dimensions that apply to your data. By default, the data is filtered by the selected dimensions.
- To remove these filters and retrieve all data within the dimensions, select the Remove filter by the dimensions values checkbox to turn off the filters.
Step 8: selecting Date range
- This report date range is month-based, which lets you select only months.
- If the end date is after the run date, the start date is adjusted to the end date.
Step 9: Additional options
- Include Empty Rows: Retrieve rows without informative values.
- Include Time Roll-Ups: Aggregate results to a quarterly level (For example, Q1 - 2019).
- Currency Selection: Override the default corporate currency by selecting a specific currency from the drop-down menu or leave it empty to use the default.
