Using Dashboard

The dashboard provides a centralized, data-driven view of pipeline performance and cost efficiency. It surfaces high-level trends across your environments, helping you monitor execution reliability and resource consumption at a glance.

It provides key performance indicators (KPIs) based on the selected Environment, Source, Date, and Timezone, including:

  • Executions: Total number of pipeline runs within the chosen timeframe.
    • For:
      • Source-to-Target Rivers: Executions are counted per table processed.
      • Logic Rivers: An execution represents a single full run of the River.
  • Success Rate: Percentage of runs that completed successfully.
  • Boomi Data Unit (BDU): The total consumption of credits used to process data across your pipelines.

Rivers activity view

The Rivers Activity View displays metric trends over time based on the selected KPI.

  • The chart reflects the selected metric (Executions, Success Rate,or BDU).
  • Hovering over a data point displays a tooltip containing the date, the metric name, and the count for that specific day.

The view supports two types:

  • General View: Displays aggregated values across all sources.
  • Source View: Displays values broken down by data source type.

This view helps identify trends, spikes, or drops in performance and usage.

Filters

The dashboard supports the following filters:

  • Environment: Filters data by environment.
  • Source type: Filters data by data source type.
  • Date: Filters data based on the pipeline run date.
  • Timezone: Toggles the time context used for calculations.

This section displays commonly used River templates that can be used as starting points for new Rivers.

Recent activity

The Recent Activity section displays recent pipeline executions specific to your current environment, regardless of the environment selected in the filter.

To navigate to the Activities, click the Go To All Activities icon.

For each River, the following information is shown:

  • River Name: Name of the River.
  • River Group: Group associated with the River.
  • Last Run Time: Date and time of the most recent execution.
  • Activity Stats: Counts of successful, failed, and in-progress runs.
  • BDU: BDU consumed by the River.
  • Runs Segmentation: Visual summary of execution outcomes over time.

Filters are available to display All, Successful, or Failed runs.

Sharing and exporting

The dashboard supports the following sharing and export options:

  • Export as PDF: Downloads a PDF version of the dashboard based on the selected date range, metric, and view.
  • Export as CSV: Exports data based on the selected metric and view: General or Source.
  • Copy Share Link (UTC): Generates a shareable link using UTC time.

Usage guidelines

  • All calculations are based on the selected date range and timezone.
  • Data displayed for All environments is dynamically aggregated based on user permissions.
  • The dashboard displays aggregated trends and does not replace detailed run-level analysis available in the Activity Log.
