Issue summary

The error code RVR-SYNP-302 occurs when loading data into a file using the Azure Synapse data connector, often due to configuration, credential, or data compatibility issues.

Action steps

To resolve the error, follow these steps:

  1. Verify credentials and configuration: Ensure that the credentials and connection settings for Azure Synapse are correct. Double-check the Azure Synapse Analytics connection for accuracy in the portal and Data Integration.

  2. Check data file compatibility: Confirm that the data format and structure of the data meet Azure Synapse requirements, such as CSV or Parquet.

  3. Rerun river with logs: Attempt to rerun the River and review Data Integration logs for any specific indications of what might be failing, such as documentation on the required data structure or permissions.

  4. Test Synapse connection: Use the Test Connection feature in the Data Integration console to ensure there are no connectivity issues with Azure Synapse.

  5. Inspect data storage settings: Check the configuration of the storage (e.g., Data Lake Storage) to ensure that it aligns with your operation requirements and has necessary permissions and access roles assigned.

  6. Check custom file zone setup: Ensure the appropriate File Zone is set up, if not using the default, as discussed in Data Integration documentation for Azure Synapse.
