Issue summary
The error message Failed creating external data source with the error code RVR-SYNP-300 is due to configuration settings in Azure Synapse or misconfigurations during setup while using the Azure Synapse data connector in Data Integration.

To resolve the error, follow these steps:
- Allowlist Data Integration IPs: Ensure that Data Integration IP addresses are allowlisted in Azure, as a lack of proper network configurations can cause connection issues. Follow the instructions to allowlist IPs, which involves going into Azure's firewall settings.
- Check connection details: Double-check if your connection settings in Data Integration for Azure Synapse is correct, such as hostname, database, user credentials, and any custom file zone configurations.
- Firewall and permissions: Make sure the Azure Synapse Firewall settings are configured to allow traffic from Data Integration and that the user account used for the connection has permissions.
- Resource setup: Verify that you have properly set up an Azure Resource Group and that your Synapse SQL resources are correctly allotted with adequate permissions.
- Check Azure Active Directory configuration(Optional): If using Azure Active Directory authentication, ensure to configure correctly.
