RVR-ASA-300

Issue summary

  • The error code RVR-ASA-300 indicates a failure due to a missing client_id when trying to connect to the Apple Search Ads data connector within Data Integration. This error occurs during authentication or connection setup when the necessary credentials are not provided.
  • Based on the Data Integration documentation, the Apple Search Ads connection requires credentials including the client_id, team_id, key_id, and a public key provided by Data Integration to establish a connection using OAuth (JWT).

Action steps

To resolve this issue, follow these steps:

  1. Retrieve credentials:
    • Ensure you have your Apple Ads account set up in Advanced mode with admin permissions.
    • If you have not done so, invite a specific Apple ID that Data Integration will use to connect and grant it API Account Read Only permissions.
  2. Set up connection in Data Integration:
    • In Data Integration, generate a new key pair under connections, and obtain the public key.
    • In Apple Ads, under the account settings and API management section, add the public key. This process provides the client_id, team_id, and key_id.
  3. Establish and test Data Integration connection:
    • Go to the Data Integration console, create a new Apple Ads connection, and enter the obtainedclient_id, team_id, and key_id.
    • Select Test Connection to verify the configuration.
