2026-10 Meta API upgrade v26

Updated

Boomi upgraded Meta connectors (Facebook Ads, Facebook Audience Network, Facebook Social, and Instagram Social) from API v24 to v26 on October 5, 2026, ahead of Meta's end-of-availability for v24 on October 6, 2026.

Most existing connections and Data Flows continue to run without modification. However, some fields were removed, and new fields are available. Review the changes in the following section to confirm your Data Flows are not affected.

Key changes in Meta Graph API v26

New fields

Meta Graph API v26 introduces new fields across Facebook Ads, Facebook Audience Network, Facebook Social, and Instagram Social connectors. New fields are optional and do not break existing Data Flows.

To start using new fields, go to your Data Flow's Schema tab, select Clear All, then select Auto Mapping to pick up the new fields.

Removed fields

Meta Graph API v26 removes the following fields with no replacement:

ConnectorRemoved fieldAlternative action
Facebook Adsinsights.action_typeRemove from Data Flow configuration
Facebook Adsinsights.action_deviceRemove from Data Flow configuration
Facebook Audience Networkestimated_revenueUse revenue_per_1000_impressions
Facebook Socialfeed_story_typeRemove from Data Flow configuration
Instagram Socialinsights_periodRemove from Data Flow configuration

Affected connectors

The following connectors are upgraded to API v26:

  • Facebook Ads
  • Facebook Audience Network
  • Facebook Social
  • Instagram Social

What actions should you take

  1. Review your Data Flow's Schema tab to identify any fields that appear in your source-to-target mapping that are now removed.
  2. For removed fields without a replacement, delete them from your Data Flow configuration.
  3. For removed fields with alternatives (Check the table above), update your configuration to use the alternative field.
  4. Select Save and run your Data Flow to confirm data flows correctly.

Data Flows that do not use any of the removed fields continue to work exactly as before.
