2024-02 Airtable API keys deprecation

Deprecation of API keys

Starting February 1st, 2024, Airtable will initiate the gradual deprecation of API keys.

OAuth2 is set as the new default authentication method. This update provides a more secure and efficient way of handling authentication.

Transition period

Until February 1st, 2024, users have the option to use either the current API Key system or transition to OAuth2.

Action items for users

Users are recommended to switch their existing API Key connections to OAuth2 as soon as possible.

Final migration to OAuth2

As of February 1st, 2024, the option to use API Keys will be removed entirely.
