Creating an API HTTPS Client Profiles in Local Edition

The API HTTPS Client Profiles page in Local Edition displays a list of locally created HTTPS client profiles. On this page, keys and certificates configured and managed in Local Edition can be used for HTTPS client authentication.

The HTTPS Client Profiles can be configured in both Tethered and Untethered modes:

  • Local Edition - Untethered mode: In untethered setup, you need to configure HTTPS Client Profiles and Identity & Certificates in Boomi Cloud API Management - Local Edition (Untethered mode) locally.

  • Local Edition - Tethered mode: In a tethered setup, you need to:

    1. Upload your Identity & Certificates, then create an HTTPS Client Profile in Boomi Cloud API Management - Local Edition (Tethered mode). These are then synced from Local Edition to Cloud API Management (Control Center).

    2. Select the created HTTPS Client Profile in Local Edition on the API Endpoint Settings: <your endpoint name> page. Refer to Configuring API Endpoint Domains & Traffic Routing Settings in Control Center for more information.

    3. After sync, the uploaded Identity & Certificates become available for the Local Edition traffic manager. But to configure Identity & Certificates for Cloud API Management traffic manager, contact your Boomi Account representative via Boomi Community.

  • Cloud API Management (Control Center): In a SaaS setup, you need to:

    1. Configure Identity & Certificates by contacting your Boomi Account representative via Boomi Community.

    2. Create an HTTPS Client Profile in Control Center. Refer to Creating an HTTPS Client Profile in Cloud API Management for more information.

    3. Select the created HTTPS Client Profile in Control Center on the API Endpoint Settings: <your endpoint name> page of Control Center. Refer to Configuring API Endpoint Domains & Traffic Routing Settings in Control Center for more information.
