Area Encryption Key
The area encryption key is a unique cryptographic key associated with your Cloud API Management area. It is used to encrypt sensitive configuration information, such as backend credentials and authentication tokens, that the Traffic Manager uses when processing API calls.
Before you can view the key, a Boomi Account Representative must generate it for your area and enable the feature flag. Once the key is generated and the feature flag is enabled, you can view it only once in the Area information pop-up window on the Cloud API Management (Control Center). After you view and close it, the key is permanently hidden in the Area information and cannot be retrieved again via the UI.
Every key view event is recorded on the Audit History: Area Encryption Keys page, including the user handle, timestamp, and a masked key preview.
