Domains
The Domains (Manage > Domains) page is where you create and manage public endpoint domains in Cloud API Management.
You must add a domain before creating a resource endpoint on the Endpoints: <your api definition name> page. The resource endpoint's public endpoint address is configured on the Endpoint Create: New Endpoint Definition page to use the domain.
By default, the domain is set to {area_name}.api.mashery.com. The domain address for your area is derived from the Area name. For example, if the Area name is eval996802, the domain address is eval996802.api.mashery.com.
Domain-organization mapping
You can control domain access for all organizations or restrict it to specific organizations in your area.
-
Area Wide (All Organizations): Makes the domain available to every organization in the area for their public endpoints. This is the default when no organization-domain mappings exist.
-
Assign to specific organization: Makes the domain available only to selected organizations in your area. If an organization has sub-organizations, the domain assigned to the organization is automatically available to its sub-organizations.
You can manage domain-organization mappings from either of these pages:
- Manage > Domains >
<your domain name>> Organizations - Manage > Organizations >
<your organization name>> Domains > Organization Domains
Any changes made on either page are reflected on the other.
