Managing Organization Domains
Add or remove domain associations from the Organization Overview (Manage > Organizations > your organization name > Domains) page.
Procedure
-
Click Organizations on the Get Started page or navigate to Manage > Organizations. This opens the Manage your Organizations page.
-
In the Organization Name column, click the organization name link or Actions (
>) icon next to the organization from which you want to add or remove a domain. This opens the Organization Overview:<your organization name>page. -
Navigate to Domains. This opens the Organization Domains:
<your organization name>page.-
Click Add Domain. This opens the Add Domain pop-up window.
-
Optional: In the Search box, enter text to find the domain you want to map to the organization or sub-organization.
-
Select the checkbox next to each domain you want to map to the organization or sub-organization.
-
Click Add. The selected domain is mapped to a specific organization.
To remove a mapped domain from an organization, click the Remove icon (x) next to the domain you want to unmap.
note-
You cannot remove a domain mapping if any API endpoint within that organization is actively using it. To remove such a mapping, first update the resource endpoint to use a different public endpoint domain.
-
You can delete an organization or sub-organization mapped with a domain from the Organization Settings:
<your org or sub-org name>page. If you delete a sub-organization that has both a sub-organization domain and a parent organization domain, the sub-organization's domain is added to its parent organization after deletion. -
When you delete a parent organization:
- Any domains used by endpoints within that organization automatically become area-wide (available to all organizations).
- For domains assigned to the organization but not used by any endpoint, only the domain mapping is removed.
