Managing Discussion Forum Categories
A category is created to organize a more focused discussion. It helps Portal managers and developers quickly access the required information. It may contain several similar topics. Topics and posts can be managed from the Cloud API Management dashboard, but categories can only be managed from the Developer Portal.
Creating Discussion Forum Categories
Procedure

Go to the customer Developer Portal URL:
http://developer<client name>.com, and click Forum tab. This opens the<your portal name>Forums page. -
Click Add Category.

In the Add Forum Category section, provide the following detail:

In Subject, enter the category title.

In Description, enter the category description.

In Position, enter the position. The default value is 0.
0 indicates highest position in the list. If multiple categories are assigned the same position, they are sorted alphabetically.

Click Save.
Modifying or Deleting Discussion Forum Categories
Categories can be modified or deleted from the Developer Portal.
Procedure

On the
<your portal name>Forums page, click Edit Category link corresponding to the selected category. This opens the Edit Forum Category section. -
Modify the fields as required.
infoYou can also delete the category by clicking Delete in the Edit Forum Category section.

Click Preview to preview the newly created topic before it is published.

Click Save.
