Migrate from 5.x.x to 6.1.0 or 6.2.0 (Same mode)

The migration is supported for migration from untethered to untethered and tethered to tethered deployment for the Local Edition versions 5.3.x, 5.4.x, 5.5.x, and 5.6.x.

To export and import data using the API, consider the following:

• Export API data from the Local Edition 5.x.x cluster via CAM Platform API.
• Import API data to the 6.1.0 or 6.2.0 cluster via CAM Platform API.

Steps to migrate

Follow these steps in order to complete the migration from Local Edition 5.x.x to 6.1.0 or 6.2.0 within the same deployment mode — from untethered to untethered or from tethered to tethered:

3. Build migration container images
4. Push migration container images to a registry
5. Deploy migration pod on 5.x.x cluster
6. Migrate your data
