API Control Plane User Management

The API Control Plane consists of the Administration Portal and the Developer Portal. If your account has the API Control Plane feature enabled, the following roles are available:

• API Control Plane Administrator - This role has access to administrative functions in the API Control Plane. Includes the API Control Plane User and User Management - Limited privileges to create users and has limited management of users privileges. This role is granted to Boomi Administrator users.
• API Control Plane User - This role has access to the Administration Portal and the Developer Portal.

Adding Users to the API Control Plane Administration Portal

1. In the Boomi platform, select Settings > User Management.

2. Select the plus (+) icon.

3. There are two API Control Plane roles that you can assign:

   • API Control Plane Administrator - This role has access to administrative functions in the API Control Plane. Includes the API Control Plane User and User Management - Limited privileges to create users and has limited management of users privileges.
   • API Control Plane User - Access to the API Control Plane Administration Portal and Developer Portal.

   

Adding Users to the API Control Plane Developer Portal

An API Control Plane Administrator can add users to the Developer Portal from the Developer Portal or from the Boomi Platform.

• Users added from the Developer Portal Users section will only have access to the Developer Portal and cannot access the Administration Portal.
• Users added from the Boomi Platform as an API Control Plane User will have access to the Developer Portal and the Administration Portal.

Updating User Information

You can update the user's first name, last name, password, email, or time zone. These changes are reflected for the user in the API Control Plane Administration Portal and Developer Portal.

1. In Boomi Platform, select Settings > User Information.
2. Update user information and select Save.
