Boomi Widget for QuickBooks Support Guide

If you have questions or run into issues during your trial or subscription, we are here to help!

Although the Widget will typically sync data behind the scenes, data and connectivity issues will happen from time to time. When they do, we provide a variety of self-service and support channels to assist.

  • Forums - Forums are the primary channel for interacting with support. Here you can search through previous issues and knowledge base articles for common errors.

Please note that we do not offer phone or email-based support for the Widget.

Forums

Forums are the primary channel for technical support for most questions and issues. The Forums are monitored closely by both our technical support and Widget development teams.

If this is your first time accessing the forums, you will need to register before you can post a new topic.

We will respond to all Forum posts within two business days, but we strive to answer them as quickly as possible.

To submit a new issue, log into the forums, navigate to the General Discussion forum under "Boomi Salesforce Widget for QuickBooks" and click the New Thread button along the top.

In the Forum, you will notice three categories:

  • General Discussion - This is the main forum where you will post questions and issues.
  • Enhancement Requests - If you have a suggestion for a new or improved feature, let us know.
  • Release Notes - Keep up to date with the latest features and bug fixes.

Forum Registration

You will need to register before posting issues and questions to the Forum. To register:

  1. Click Register in the upper left corner.
  2. Agree to the forum rules and click Register.
  3. Enter your information including and click Complete Registration.
  4. Within a few minutes you will receive a welcome email to the email address you entered. Click the link within the email to validate your email address and request your user activation.
  5. To protect against forum spam, we manually moderate all user activation requests. Your user activation request will be accepted as quickly as possible, typically within a few hours at most.
    1. Note: Sometimes personal email addresses get flagged as spam. If your user activation request is denied, please click the Contact Us in the lower right corner of the Forum page to let us know and we'll grant access.

For quick questions and issues you may also chat with one of our support representatives. LiveChat is available from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm Eastern Time.

  • When the chat window asks with whom you would like to chat, select "Tech Support - Salesforce Financial Widget". Be sure to have your Widget Account ID handy (see Tips below).
  • LiveChat is intended for quick questions and answers. For more advanced questions and issues, you may be directed to post your inquiry to the Forums, which are closely monitored by both the Widget support and development teams.

Tips for Contacting Support

  • Understand how the Widget works by reading the User Guide.
  • Before contacting support, look for your warning message or question in the Troubleshooting Tips. Many data- and connectivity-related problems have been encountered before.
  • For faster assistance, have your Widget instance's Account ID handy (within SFDC, go to QuickBooks Widget Setup > About/Preferences > Account ID).
  • Include the specific error message (if available). Look for the warning message in the Sync Log.
  • Mention the specific sync process that is having the problem. For example, "Syncing Salesforce Accounts to QuickBooks", or "Syncing QuickBooks Invoices to Salesforce".
