Data Communication Security

The Boomi AtomSphere architecture has allowed for a great level of data security for both 'Hosted' and 'On Premise' data.

On Premise Data

For Atoms deployed 'On-Premise', no data actually flows through the data center. Because the Atom is deployed behind the firewall, there is a direct communication between any number of SaaS and 'On-Premise' applications. Only 'tracked' or 'status' data is sent to the data center when the user initiates a request from the data center to the Atom. This information includes, but is not limited to file size, file name, status info, etc.

For Atoms deployed 'On-Premise', all actual production data will reside on the server where the Atom is installed. This allows you to keep all your data in house and not in the Boomi data center.

Hosted Data

For Atoms deployed in our data center, you will have all the security that our data center provides in order to ensure that your data resides in a system that will keep it secure. Our infrastructure is OpSource, which uses an Equinix data center. These data centers provide the highest level of SaaS security available. This will ensure that all your data for hosted Atoms is fully secure and only accessible by your account.
