On the Atom Management page (Manage menu > Atom Management) you can monitor atom, molecule or cloud status; edit atom, molecule, cloud or environment properties; stop or resume deployed process schedules; and subscribe to atom, molecule or cloud-level RSS feeds.
If environments are enabled within your account, refer to Managing Environments to learn more about the configuration options in the Atom Management section.
Atom Status in Atom Management
On the left side of the Atom Management page is a list of the atoms, molecules and clouds to which your account has access. Clicking an atom, molecule or cloud in the list displays information about it on the right side of the page.
In order to execute processes and view execution logs, the atom, molecule or cloud must be online. They constantly report their status back to the platform, displayed here as one of the following status indicators:
| Status |
Description |
|
Local atom or molecule is online and is communicating with the platform. |
|
Local atom or molecule is not running or has not reported to the platform within the last five minutes. |
|
Local atom or molecule is new or the platform is unable to determine the status. |
|
Atom cloud is running and communicating with the platform. |
|
Atom cloud is not running or has not reported to the platform within the last five minutes. |
See Maintaining Atoms, Molecules and Clouds for more information about ensuring that the atom, molecule or cloud is running.
Atom Properties Tab in Atom Management
When you click an atom, molecule or cloud in the list its properties appear on the Atom Properties tab.
| Property Name |
Description |
| Atom Name |
User-defined name for the atom, molecule or cloud. |
| Host Name |
Name or IP address of the machine where the atom, molecule or cloud is installed. |
| Date Installed |
The date and time at which the atom, molecule or cloud was installed. The format is: yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss a |
| Version |
Number identifying the atom, molecule or cloud's latest build. This number may be used by Technical Support when they are troubleshooting an issue. |
| Purge History After x Days |
See information about purging logs for atoms, molecules or clouds. |
Force Restart After x Minutes |
After changes are made to the Dell Boomi Atom, your atom (or molecule or cloud) must restart itself before the changes can take effect. Your atom will not restart itself while integration processes are running. Instead it waits for the processes to finish. It does not start any more processes while it waits. If a process that takes hours to complete is running, the atom will have to wait a long time before it can restart. You can specify the number of minutes that AtomSphere will wait before it forces the atom to restart. Any processes that are currently running will be aborted. However, it will not abort processes that are currently running in a molecule or cloud that uses forked execution. |
Purge Data Immediately |
See information about purging logs for atoms, molecules or clouds. |
Atom Extensions |
(If available in your account.) See information about atom extensions. |
Download Atom Log |
Used to get the log messages related to the general tasks that an atom, molecule or cloud performs. |
| Shared Web Server Configuration |
If this option is exposed in your account, it gives you the ability to configure your web server settings for inbound, real-time integration. Refer to the Web Service Publishing and Using a Web Server sections for more information. |
Delete Atom |
See information about deleting atoms, molecules or clouds. |

To Download an Atom, Molecule, or Cloud's Log Files
- Go to the Manage menu and select Atom Management.
- Select the atom, molecule or cloud from the list on the left.
- On the Atom Properties tab, click Download Atom Log.
The Download Atom Logs dialog opens.
- Enter the date of the logs that you need. Use the format yyyy-MM-dd.
- (Optional) If you want to get the error.log and restart.log files, select the Include Bin Logs check box.
These files are useful to have if you are debugging issues related to restarting an atom, molecule or cloud.
- Click OK.
The log files are put into a container_log.zip file.
- Open or save the .zip file.
Alerts Tab in Atom Management
Subscribe to RSS feeds for this atom, molecule or cloud.
- RSS Monitor Feed -- Link to RSS feed for all statuses and process activity for this atom, molecule or cloud.
- RSS Alerts Only Feed -- Link to RSS feed for only alerts and process errors for this atom, molecule or cloud.
