What is SaaS Integration?

Integration has been the Achilles heel of the SaaS industry. Once a company logs into the Boomi Web site, integration processes are built using a visual designer that includes access to a library of pre-built connectors and "transformation maps" between numerous applications. Using familiar point and click, drag and drop techniques, users can build very simple to very sophisticated integration processes with exceptional speed. No coding is required. An increasing number of maps are already defined, making the job of connecting new applications and trading partners quick and painless.

Once integration processes are built, they are deployed via a lightweight, dynamic runtime engine called an Atom^SM. Created with patent pending-technology, Boomi Atoms contain all the components required to execute an integration process from end to end including connectors, transformation rules, decision handling, and processing logic.
