What is Boomi On Demand?
Boomi On Demand is the industry's first complete, fully on-demand integration service. Boomi On Demand makes it possible for companies to integrate their applications, data and trading partners directly from the Web - without installing software packages or hardware appliances. Users can securely build, deploy and manage integrations using only a web browser. Boomi On Demand handles any combination of software-as-a-service (SaaS) and on premise application integration with unprecedented ease. In addition, integration can be accomplished at a fraction of the cost of enterprise integration software.
- Build, Deploy and Manage Connections Directly from the Web
- No Software Packages or Hardware Appliances to Install

What is Integration?
Integration is the combining of software or hardware components or both into an overall system. Generally speaking, there are two types of Systems Integration:
B2B Integration - Integrating data/systems across two or more organizations. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B2B

What is SaaS Integration?
Integration has been the Achilles heel of the SaaS industry. If you are like most SaaS application administrators, you need to integrate your SaaS application with other SaaS and on-premise applications. Before Boomi On Demand, integrators needed to install and maintain integration software or hardware appliances on premise. BOD enables any combination of SaaS and On Premise integration directly from the web without requiring the implementation of software packages or hardware appliances.
Innovative, Patent-Pending Technology Makes it Possible
Once a company logs into the Boomi Web site, integration processes are built using a visual designer that includes access to a library of pre-built connectors and "transformation maps" between numerous applications. Using familiar point and click, drag and drop techniques, users can build very simple to very sophisticated integration processes with exceptional speed. No coding is required. An increasing number of maps are already defined, making the job of connecting new applications and trading partners quick and painless.

Once integration processes are built, they are deployed via a lightweight, dynamic runtime engine called an AtomSM. Created with patent pending-technology, Boomi Atoms contain all the components required to execute an integration process from end to end including connectors, transformation rules, decision handling, and processing logic.

Boomi Atoms are completely self-contained and autonomous and can be run on virtually any server. They can be hosted for SaaS to SaaS integration or downloaded behind a company's firewall for SaaS to On Premise integration. There is a full-featured dashboard to monitor the status and health of all Atoms and integration processes whether they are hosted or downloaded.
Enterprise Integration Capabilities at a Fraction of the Cost
By delivering integration on demand, Boomi has radically redefined the economics of purchasing and deploying integration capabilities. For the first time, companies can pay by connection and not for an entire integration software suite. Monthly subscriptions are based on the number of connections per month where each application and/or trading partner integrated counts as one connection. Value-added services such as process monitoring are also available on a subscription basis.
Boomi On DemandSM provides companies with the ability to purchase as many or as few integration connections as they need. The account is self provisioning, meaning an organization can sign up and begin building integrations immediately on the Web.
