The Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) connector can download files from or upload files to an SFTP-enabled server using SSH. Unlike the standard FTP connector, the SFTP connector encrypts both data and commands to ensure that no sensitive data is exposed when transmitted over a network. SFTP uses a different protocol from FTP, which means you cannot use a standard FTP client to communicate with an SFTP server.
At the beginning of a connector step, the SFTP Connector opens a session then issues calls for each document in an open-call-call-call-close fashion.
To configure a connector to communicate with SFTP, set up two components:
This approach provides reusable components, which contain connection settings such as user name, password, etc. After building your connection and operation, set up your connector within a process. When your connector is configured properly within your process, AtomSphere can map to and from virtually any system using the SFTP connector to retrieve data from or send data to disk.
Contact your SFTP administrator for assistance if you do not have the following:
An SFTP user with sufficient read/write access to the required remote directories.
A port for SFTP communications. The default port is 22.
Access to the Internet. If the SFTP server is not exposed to the Internet, deploy the Atom locally to a machine within your network that can access it.
This connector has the following tracked properties that can be set or referenced in various step parameters:

|Move To Directory||The inbound/outbound directory on the server the document was moved to.|
