NOTE: Dell Boomi plans to discontinue support for widgets in the near future. Boomi Integration developers should use integration packs for packaging integration solutions and making them available to end users.
NOTE: Dell Boomi is committed to modernizing its integration platform to ensure ongoing reliability, performance, and scalability. As part of this effort, the Dell Boomi AtomSphere platform was migrated to Amazon Web Services (AWS) on September 8, 2018. Platform migration was Phase 1 of a plan to move the Dell Boomi infrastructure to a more flexible and scalable hosting environment. Migration of the Dell Boomi Atom Clouds will occur in subsequent phases through early 2019.

To learn more about the transition plans, see the Dell Boomi's Planned Improvements to its Hosting Environment article in the Community. For an updated list of IP addresses, see Hostnames and IP addresses for connecting with Dell Boomi.

Release notes for the 12 months preceding the current release are archived.

Issue summary

NOTE: The “Usable in RC?” column indicates whether individual features, enhancements, and fixes are usable during the Release Control window before final release. Atom and connector updates are included in Release Control and usable, but neither the AtomSphere platform nor Dell Boomi browse Atoms are updated until the actual release. Therefore, until the actual release:
  • You cannot use Atom and connector enhancements and fixes with companion platform changes.

  • You cannot use connector enhancements and fixes with browse changes for connectors that support browsing only through a Dell Boomi Atom Cloud.

AreaIDUsable in RC?Summary
Atom 28441YesImprove logging of Atom-platform communication. Previously, failures to connect to the platform were logged as SEVERE-level events in the Atom log. With this release:
  • Each failure is logged as an INFO-level event.

  • Once failures occur over a period of one minute, a WARNING-level event is logged.

  • Once failures occur over a period of five minutes, a SEVERE-level event is logged. Additional SEVERE-level events are logged at five-minute intervals until connectivity is restored.

  • When connectivity is restored, an event is logged at the same level as the most recently logged failure event.

Platform29577NoThe URL validation check is updated.
Platform 30759No Add an audit log entry when configuration changes are made to any of the following Atom plugins:
  • MLLP Server

  • Queue Management

  • Shared Web Server

Platform, trading partners 31355No As of the January 2019 release, when there were multiple “My Company” trading partners in a process, you could designate one trading partner to provide default communication settings per standard. With this release, you can designate one trading partner to provide default communication settings across standards. This enhancement facilitates support for a key use case for VANs, in which one mailbox accommodates both multiple standards and multiple “My Company” trading partners of the same standard. We determined that the use case for supporting multiple defaults per process was minimal, and eliminating that use case simplified our design for supporting the single mailbox use case.
